Simple Sweater & Easy Shorts

I found this bright blue sweater a few months ago. My wardrobe was desperately lacking simple tops to wear on work days. I wasn’t specifically looking for sweaters but this cashmere one caught my eye in J.Crew during my shopping trip for simple tops. Stacked on a table full of rainbow bright clothes in the most fun hues. A refreshing palette from, at the time, mostly blacks and grey’s of winter.

I ended up getting it in both this cobalt and a light coral peach-ish color. The v-neck cut with is a great style as it goes over tops really well without hiding the whole shirt underneath. J.Crew tends to carry this cashmere sweater each season releasing it in new, different colors. The sweater vest version is also really cute for warmer weather.

I also wanted to share these easy shorts I’ve been wearing pretty frequently (and they’re only $14). I work from home a lot so it’s nice to have a pair of easy but fun pants to opt for. They saw a lot of wear on my cruise/tropical vacation back in March. They make a great beach short but also a comfy pant to wear around the house! I went with a size medium for a bit of a baggier look but the stretch waist makes for going between sizes easy.

Well, wanted to share an easy yet polished look that’s really simple to create this spring! Plus, it’s insanely comfortable and the color block or monochrome top/bottom combination options are bountiful.
