This weeks memo of inspiration is a bit noir! Being it halloween and deep into fall, I’ve been feeling dark, mystical, whimsical, and witchy. Which, has carried over into everyday outfits.

I missed the Dior resort 2025 runway show displayed back in June. Despite checking Vogue runway almost daily. So, when I finally did see it and see it was held in the Scottish highlands heavily featuring stunning pieces in deep purple, yellow, and red tartan, my desire to dress in tartan, tweeds, and wool immediately was sparked. Luckily, on my last trip to Ireland, I found some amazing cable knit sweaters to pair with plaids to get the look. Similar to the sweater above.

I found these patent black boots and they immediately caught my eye (plus currently on sale!). Never have thought to add patent black tall boots to my wardrobe but I’m hooked. I really want to pair them with classics above like a toggle coat (so warm and classic). Or a comfy pair of 60’s feeling kick crop trousers. I’ve also been waiting for J.Crew to re-release this silhouette that I lived in when I first started my career.

Finally, I wrote about last week loving shorts with tights right now, and these wool shorts with black tights would be so cute. Add in some black velvet to your wardrobe for extra whimsical witchy-ness and a pair of black Mary Janes. I just got these Prada ones which I will be wearing a bunch!
