Fun Blue Hues for Fall

Outfit Details: Tradlands sweater, Banana Republic shorts, Madewell top (similar), Caron Callahan loafers (similar here and here!)

I’ve moved into a new apartment! And the chaos of packing, moving, unpacking, and setting up life again has finally calmed down. Enough to come back here and have time for hobbies! It’s been quite the whirlwind month.

Now it’s almost October and fall outfits are completely on my mind. I love the style and atmosphere this time of year. Everything feels cozier. Especially the clothes.

Tweed, plaid, wool, corduroy, blazers, loafers and layers, layers, layers. Perfect for me here in San Francisco where the weather always requires multiple layers.

I’ve been extremely drawn to accessories and layers in bright and rich blue hues. The jewel tones pair so beautifully with classic fall colors of browns, reds, dark navies, and olive greens. I like an unexpected pop of color for simple outfits and brighter blues have been that pop for me lately.

So, I wanted to share some favorite bright and fun blue pieces you can pair with your classic fall transitional outfits!

I’m still in shorts most days and I’m styling them in a very ‘back to school’ type way. Adding sweaters and blazers with oxfords or loafers.

I’ve also been wearing a lot of long dresses like this favorite one from Tradlands or this simple linen dress in navy that would look great with a blue fisherman sweater for a more monochrome look or swap the dress for a rich green for a colorful pairing.

Hope this post gave you all some inspiration for your fall looks! You can shop some other favorite new and vintage blue finds below.
