Friday Finds #1
I’ve been putting a lot more thought and effort into developing and building my personal style the past few weeks. I think it’s a combination of cleaning out my closet for the move to a new apartment this month and a stronger feeling of not having anything to wear lately. Which led me to a recent re-organization, or purge, of things in my closet that don’t suit me.
If you’re feeling the same frustration, let me tell you this clothing purge was a breath of fresh air. It brought such a renewed sense of clarity in regards to my own sense of style. Not only did it get me thinking about what I wish I had and want to wear but also a relief of “okay my closet isn’t so bad”. I could now only see the items I love and am excited to wear.
Which leads me to today’s post! I’ve been doing a ton of researching, scouring the internet in search of inspiration to define my new personal style (entering 30’s, new city, wfh job). Then, ultimately, clothing that meets that definition. It’s been so fun carving out time for my personal identity which i’ve neglected a lot in the recent past.
So, I wanted to share some of my favorite finds of the week. With style thoughts and items I either bought or am eyeing. I created this blog to share inspiration that I wasn’t finding elsewhere and connect with like minded folks who were looking for the same!

End of summer patterned pants. These would look so cute with a black silk tank or fun colored button up.
Simple straw bag market tote. My new apartment is near a huge farmers market in San Francisco plus a few parks. So, I recently purchased a straw bag like this for both purposes.
Velvet Mary Janes are the perfect comfortable and more chic every day shoe to switch it up if you’re a every day Vans, New Balance, Converse kind of wearer like myself.
These linen sheets and duvets come in so many beautiful and fun colors. The perfect way to add color to your bedroom.
The perfect whimsical accessory for fall. I just purchased this belt to wear with black dresses make them more fun.
Another belt but a classic style. This also comes in multiple colors but the black sued with gold detailing is so pretty.
A simple and wear-with-anything boot for fall. The dark brown suede is nice plus they’re on sale!
An oversized denim shirt is a favorite closet staple that can be worn and styled all year but especially cute for fall transition outfits.
And finally, a long dress in moody florals. So perfect for fall! But also easily styled into winter and even spring.
