Denim on Denim
Recently I’ve been posting a lot of denim: an amazing denim trench and a classic yet versatile long denim skirt. Both of which, so far, I’ve been wearing really often this fall. Today’s post is for some more denim inspiration. Particularly pairing a denim oxford with jeans. I like to pair together similar washes like I did here with both dark washes. Dark denim is usually my fall and winter go-to choice for jeans. I just love how it pairs so well with brown coats and sweaters, warm orange and red tops, and any plaid accessory.
When it comes to women’s work dress shoes, a monk strap can not be beat. It’s so masculine and so classic. They feel so 1940’s and then paired with a modern look, they’re just such a favorite shoe choice for me. These Crockett & Jones ones are the best I’ve found (they also come in black). One of my favorite stores to visit whenever I’m in NYC or London. I’ve collected so many of their women’s styles! I’ve linked some more women’s dress shoe options at the bottom of this post as well.
Recently, I finished sewing this haori jacket pattern in a deep navy fabric. I think the casual comfort look of this coat goes super well with the denim on denim pairing and more dressed up shoes and purse. I was shocked the jacket came out looking like a jacket lol but i’ve been really excited about making my own clothes so it’s the first of many projects coming soon. Hope to share those projects here too!
Anyways, hope this denim on denim look can give you some good ideas for an easy fall (and even winter) outfit idea to replicate. I’ve shared some similar items below to recreate this look as well!
