Color Story: Shades of Purple

Rich, deep plums and bright unexpected lavenders have been catching my eye lately. Ever since seeing these suede boots in a beautiful plum color (that reminded me of a similar pair I had in high school that I wore all the time) has my current color palette been drifting to shades of purple.

Rich plums look so great paired with fall browns like these easy corduroys and classic dark blues like these simple utility pants.

Or wear light purples on their own for a brighter fall look with a pastel touch. If you’re looking for a really fun color combo, lavender would look amazing with this bright blue sweater. Or go more simple with a dark pair of flares.

I really like seeing more clothes this season in traditional spring colors like lavender or light pinks being styled with fall basics. It’s such a fresh take!
