Recent Vintage Finds
The other weekend I went over to Haight street to do some vintage shopping. Mainly at my favorite store Relic Vintage. I never leave empty handed when I visit there. Whether it be a pair of earrings, a ’40s coat, or a brocade ’60s dress, there’s always something that comes home with me.
I got super lucky with this trip finding dresses from the ’60s that perfectly emulate that time period but can easily be worn today. Trying on one after the other (that fit!) was so much fun. Unfortunately, with vintage, there were quite a few that just didn’t fit quite right. But, it’s part of the thrill and the fun of shopping for vintage.
So, I wanted to share the amazing things I found! Plus, I’ve also linked below some similar and lovely dresses I was able to find online.

Walking in the store I was greeted with this irresistible cabinet of vintage handbags. I was very tempted to get one from the top two shelves for summer but ended up getting enough dresses that i’ll have to pick one up next time.

This butterfly pattern dress was an instant yes. I can’t wait to have a dressy event to wear it. I haven’t played around with different shoe options but I have a few others in mind I need to try. But I do like a classic ballet flat right now with everything.

Another view of this dress because how great is the butterfly neckline? I love vintage clothing’s attention to details like this that you don’t see much anymore.

This pink brocade dress fit like I glove and was also an instant yes. The trip started out with a lot of things not fitting and this immediately did. So all around joy. I just love the color too!

This matching dress and jacket set has an amazing accordion pleat in the front you can sort of see in these photos. But that was another minor super interesting detail I fell in love with. It also feels like a perfect dress for San Francisco weather.

Another beautiful set in matching fabric! This one was also an overwhelming ‘yes’ when I put it on. I’ve been meaning to sew matching sets with some of my vintage patterns and this is a good motivator to make some.

Lastly, this red ’60s stunner. I actually haven’t quite figured out where I could wear this but I couldn’t leave it in the store. I’m sure I’ll find somewhere! The embroidery and the sleeve details is just exquisite.

A close up that this dress deserves!
That wraps up my recent vintage finds. I got super lucky with what fit and was able to bring home. Now for some fun styling. Also, below I found some similar really good dresses online if you’re looking for similar dresses!
