Ways to Wear Bermuda Shorts

Plus a roundup of fun spring picks to shop.

If you’re not ready for super short shorts but still want a warm-weather refresh, Bermuda shorts are the perfect in-between. I’ve been playing around with how to wear Bermuda shorts and found some really cute pairs for spring and summer.

They’re just the right length for cooler spring temperatures. For instance, if your office leans more casual, Bermuda shorts can be a great workwear option for warm days.

I’ve been wearing them a lot these past few weeks as the weather warms up here in San Francisco. They’re comfortable enough to work from home in, but still feel stylish when I head out around the city. I also love how effortlessly classic they can look without much styling.

My favorite (and easiest) way to wear Bermuda shorts right now (and only takes seconds to put together) is pairing them with a simple tee and finishing the look with a few go-to accessories. These boat shoes are my spring go-to for heading out the door, but a ballet flat or loafer would work just as well.

I also love styling them with a button-down. Lately, I’ve been reaching for linen ones, or cotton versions in really fun colors like this one and this one. For a more laid-back look, a huarache sandal is perfect for spring and super comfortable. These are great with Bermuda shorts, but also versatile enough to wear with so many other outfits.

For something more fun, I’ve been reaching for a silky blouse or something with a little frill. Doen is one of my favorite spots for feminine tops that mix up my usual rotation of tees and button-downs. I love this white one it’s simple but still feels romantic. Then, add ballet flats or a kitten heel and you’ve got another easy outfit idea.

So whether you’re dressing Bermuda shorts up with a blouse or keeping it casual with a tee, they’re such a great staple for spring and summer. I’ve been loving how versatile they are for work-from-home days, weekend errands, and everything in between. Hope this gave you a few ideas and see below to shop some of my favorite pairs!
