A Week of Outfits #01

This past week has been filled with rainy and cold days with a little bit of sun in between. My rainy weather wardrobe is a bit lacking after being in California for over three years now. But I’m happy I kept my favorite rain boots and have a trusty spring trench coat for when winters do get rainy. So, here’s a round up of outfits I wore this week!

To sum up outfit choices, the focus has been on rain appropriate, warm, and comfortable clothes. We had a pretty strong storm roll through on Sunday so I stuck to comfort and weather resistant. These Hunter boots saw a lot more wear than they have in awhile. And a pair of olive green corduroys were my go-to for comfort, warmth, and style.

When it’s raining, I opt for an outfit that works for staying in all day but also functional to head to a coffee shop. So, my work from home outfits have been pretty simple jeans and a turtleneck or a loose fitting linen outfit. Professional but comfortable. I also highly recommend a trench for spring as cute but very layer-able coat.

On the days the sun came out, I opted for lighter pants like these favorite trousers. Paired with black vans or loafers, and continued wearing my trench just in case the rain decided to come back. Then accessorizing with various silk scarves to add a pop of color to my usual simple outfits.

I’m hoping this coming week will include a lot less rain with more sun and a bit warmer weather! I’ll also be preparing for a Caribbean cruise for the following week. Which I can’t wait for some tropical weather which means my favorite tropical outfits.

I’m planning to share a roundup of outfits each week as a sort of outfit journal to document different looks with hopes of providing some outfit inspiration. Would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below and thanks for reading!
