Closet Staple: The Fall Blazer

This time of year, I love a classic, fall blazer. I love wearing blazers all year round but fall is without a doubt my favorite time to style them. I have a few I’ve collected over the years in different styles and fits that serve as my main coats until it’s too cold to use as the only layer. Then I either wear them under a trench or overcoat or throw on a very chunky scarf.

Now that it’s October, I’ve recently begun re-styling my three go-to’s. Trying to decide what I like paired with which and unexpected ways to dress them up or down.

For this post, I wanted to share these three favorite. A Madewell chocolate corduroy more casual blazer that makes me feel like a 1960’s journalist. An ultra classic Brooks Brothers blazer, and a more low-key oversized navy one. Madewell has great casual blazers at a good price. Brooks Brothers for more of a splurge but very well tailored option.

It’s helpful seeing each one paired with the same outfit. Switching up the blazer changes the whole feel of the outfit. At the start of seasons, I find it useful to play dress up to get a sense of things I know will go together. My lazy self likes to have looks ready to go in the morning so getting ready for work is fairly simple.

I honestly don’t have a favorite look from the ones below. I’ll be rotating through each one! Curious to hear which look is your favorite – let me know if the comments below.

Here are also a few blazers that are pretty similar and caught my eye at various price points.
