Simple Shorts for Limitless Outfit Ideas

If you’ve been to San Francisco in the summer, then you know we’ve been experiencing quite the opposite of a heat wave. In fact, it barely hit 60 degrees today with an added fog and strong (cool) breeze. Not exactly shorts weather! And because of that, my shorts wardrobe has been lacking for quite some time and I’ve been meaning to find a simple pair that fits well within this climate for my wardrobe.

It does get warm here during the day usually. Warm enough in the sun for shorts with a light layer on top. With this criteria, i’ve wanted a non-blue denim, high-waisted, really easy type of short. A two minute outfit kind of pair. Something so simple yet flattering that just looks good with everything as a break from my usual pants and skirts. Plus super layer-able with coats and sweaters.

I found this perfect pair while browsing the Everlane shorts sale thinking these were included (they were not). But I had to get these after trying them on. Because not only are they insanely flattering but they also check every single box a pair of shorts could. I’ve now been wearing them multiple times a week while having a lot of fun styling them.
